Landon Arkens

Landon earned his Bachelors degree in Music Recording Technology from UW-Oshkosh and hastily moved to New York City to put it in practice. He worked at Legacy Recording Studios in Manhattan while it was the largest studio on the east coast and has worked directly with David Gilmour and Roger Waters (Pink Floyd), Paul Simon, Wynton Marsalis, Trey Anastasio, Ice- T, Lloyd Banks, and many others. His new home base is Blast House Studios in Madison, WI, where he works as the facility's Head Engineer.

In addition to the engineering work, Landon plays bass guitar in Madison rock band, Blueheels. A few years ago the band's material fit tidily in the "Americana" category of music, but recent writing has taken them into a genre more aptly described as "Afro Indie Noise Rock". The band tours regionally, building a fan base in Milwaukee, Chicago, Minneapolis, Indiana, and Iowa.
