Ross Lara

Ross Lara has spent over a decade building an innovative career as an artist, engineer, and chart-topping producer. His credits have covered the world of pop, dance, and electronica, and include work with some of the industry's most influential musicians, as well as an exciting range of up and coming talent.

In addition to his success as a solo artist, Ross' discography is a testament to his versatility. Working with three time Grammy Nominee Paul Oakenfold and TC Spitfire in LA during 2011, Ross accumulated co-production/programming/mix credits for Disney's TRON, Britney Spears, Cee Lo, Lloyd, and Ce Ce Peniston, as well as a number of Oakenfold singles which were regulars on the Top 10 charts of Billboard and Beatport. TC and Ross later capitalized on their partnership and coined the name "Ghostlab" to represent themselves as a production duo in music.

In early 2012, Ross relocated from LA to Atlanta where he met the CEO of Joombas Music Group, Hyuk Shin.  They have since produced a plethora of songs for artist rosters under SM and LOEN Entertainment.  Today, Ross and the Joombas Team not only produce hit singles and albums, but create and distribute cutting edge video content for Joombas TV, an online media portal of industry news, interviews, music production lessons and reality television, to be launched in July of this year.

With his insatiable appetite for the art of music production, Ross Lara continues to be an inspiration in the studio, blending his love of vintage equipment with his instinct for the latest industry trends.  This passion results in a singular sound that, when combined with his humble approach, continues to make him a sought after collaborator and one of the unique talents in his field.

Ross Lara and FabFilter

"I got turned onto FabFilter plugs from the mastering engineer at Phat Planet Studio's in Orlando, Forida. He was using FabFilter Pro-C, I was blown away. It's all water under the bridge since then. The Fab plug-ins have been part of my toolbox ever since."

"My go to EQ within any project is FabFilter Pro-Q. The attention to detail is fantastic... I can narrow the bandwidth to almost nothing if I need to get that one tone out of a track. FabFilter Saturn is a lot of fun too. More often than not on my bus', I start with the Saturate and Color preset and do further tweaking to get the big sound I'm looking for."

"FabFilter is very pleasing to my ear... I love it. And it's always a bonus using plug-ins that are easy on the eyes. The GUI's are beautiful!"
