Other modulation sources

Besides the envelope generators and LFOs, FabFilter Twin offers velocity, pitch bend, modulation wheel, keyboard track and aftertouch as modulation sources. For each source, there is a modulation source icon in the interface, next to the main EG. When you want to modulate a plugin parameter with any of these sources, use the drag-and-drop connection method: drag the source icon directly to any knob that can be modulated to fill a modulation slot!

Tips

• Use the Keyboard Track source to modulate the filter frequency to obtain filter keyboard tracking. Or, modulate the Osc 2 Detune knob and invert the modulation slot with level set to the maximum to get Oscillator 2 to operate at a constant frequency, regardless of the keys you press.
• Many of the factory presets make use of sources like velocity, aftertouch, modulation wheel, or pitch bend, so be sure to try these while you are browsing the presets.
• Double-click on a source icon to see the current connections to modulation slots and targets.
