Francesco Cameli
Francesco Cameli is an Italian engineer/producer and owner of Sphere Studios. His clients include Korn, Flyleaf, Krewella, Ed Sheeran, New Model Army, Queen, Duran Duran and many others.
"After 20 years in the industry in London, 13 of those at Sphere Studios, I decided to sell up and move to Los Angeles in search of more exiting projects and recording challenges. Currently working out of Devonshire Sound Studios in NoHo whilst Sphere LA is being built, I spend most of my time engineering for producer Don Gilmore."
"My influences are really diverse from Mozart to Slipknot and everything in between but I am happiest at the helm of a recording console with a great band playing their heart out in my live room. Irrespective of what style of music they play."
Francesco Cameli and FabFilter
"I was turned on to FabFilter by Don Gilmore, who has a few of the plugins on his rig. As I am always looking for new ways to morph traditional sounds into things that are a little less obvious, I found that these plugins let me arrive at really interesting tones quickly and easily. Really enjoying FabFilter Saturn at the moment, we put it all over the new Korn track I recorded for Don."
