Thomas Warren

Thomas Warren is an accomplished mixer, engineer, and producer hailing from London and currently based in Los Angeles. With an engineering degree from The Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences, Thomas embarked on his career at Westlake Studios in LA, where he had the privilege of collaborating with renowned producer duo Stargate. Over the past nine years, Thomas has solidified his position in the industry as Stargate's engineer to now a full time mixer.

Thomas's exceptional engineering skills have contributed to the creation of Grammy-nominated and multi-platinum award-winning records. Notably, his work on Sam Smith's title track and promotional single for his fourth album 'GLORIA', Kendrick Lamar's album 'Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers' and Rihanna's 'Anti' has achieved significant success, including a Grammy win for Best Rap Album for Kendrick Lamar's fifth studio album and Rihanna's second number-one album on the Billboard 200.

Throughout his career, Thomas has worked with an impressive roster of artists, including Rihanna, Dominic Fike, Katy Perry, Sam Smith, Jennifer Lopez, Hailee Steinfeld, Coldplay, Charli XCX, Aloe Blacc, Little Mix, 21 Savage, Pusha T, PARTYNEXTDOOR, and many others.

Most recently, Thomas has been focusing on expanding his mixing portfolio. He recently mixed Dominic Fike's new single 'Mona Lisa,' which has made a significant impact on the music charts. The song has reached the impressive position of #15 on the US Mainstream Top 40, #1 on bubbling hot 100 Billboard, and #89 on Billboard Hot 100. Additionally, 'Mona Lisa' was featured in the movie 'Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse,' further highlighting Thomas's ability to create captivating soundscapes that transcend different media platforms.

Thomas Warren and FabFilter

I first learned about Fabfilter working with stargate, it’s been one of our go to plugins for years in the studio. Never a session I don’t have it on multiple tracks! I use Fabfilter for every element in the mix. The pro MB on vocal bus, drum buss, bass buss etc. I love the dynamic EQ making it very easy to target problematic frequencies without completely removing/thinning out the elements of the mix. Great plugins!
