DI-RECT

DI-RECT is an alternative rock band from the Netherlands, founded in 1999. They've played over 2000 shows, recorded 7 studio albums and topped the charts numerous times. With their explosive, energetic live shows and melodic songs, DI-RECT is a highly appreciated act in and outside the Netherlands.

In 2009 Marcel Veenendaal joined the band as the new lead singer. The first single in this new line-up was ‘Times are Changing’, which became the band’s first number 1 hit. A dream start which unleashed a whole new era of creativity. Over the years DI-RECT is praised for the capability of frequently reinventing themselves musically, while maintaining a distinctive sound.

In 2015 DI-RECT celebrated their 15 year anniversary with a hometown gig on the beach in The Hague for 12.500 people. Recently the band released their new album "Rolling with the Punches". An exciting new record on which DI-RECT expresses themselves with a completely new sound. Contagious grooves, hot riffs, well crafted songs and a lot of energy. In the fall of 2017 DI-RECT presented this new album during their biggest club show to date at the AFAS Live (Former Heineken Music Hall).

Recently DI-RECT received an Edison (Dutch Grammy) nomination for their latest record "Rolling with the Punches".

DI-RECT and FabFilter

"After working with several producers in all kinds of studios throughout Europe, we produce and record our own albums in our basementstudio in our hometown in The Hague."

"Since the release of the FabFilter Pro-Q, it became our go-to EQ plug-in. Whether it is to fix the flaws in our shabby live-room with surgical precision, or shaping and filtering sources creatively, the Pro-Q does it all. Stuff got even better, when Pro-Q 2 came along. The same thing goes for the Pro-L and the Pro-MB, there's not a single session of our latest record without one ore more instances of these plugins going on."

"Sonically these plugins sound awesome, and it the GUI enables us to realize goals quickly and creatively."
