Miles Walker

Miles Walker is a Grammy-winning mix engineer that has worked on records with multi-platinum artists and producers worldwide. He has studied music at North Carolina School of the Arts for High School before following his passion for recording music at the world renown Berklee College of Music.

"I've wanted to make music every day of my life, and love helping artist and producers make their vision of records come together in the studio. I've been working with the amazing production team Stargate for many years, and have had the chance to create records for Rihanna, Katy Perry, Beyonce, Fifth Harmony, Wiz Khalifa, Coldplay, and Selena Gomez. I've also had the great opportunity to mix records for many other clients such as Kygo, OMI, T.I, the Knocks, Timeflies, Gucci Mane, Young Thug, and many more."

Miles Walker and FabFilter

"I first discovered FabFilter plug-ins from a great producer that was working with myself and Stargate, Sandy Vee. He told me all about them and it really helped him get his sound. I started checking them out and was totally blown away not only at their wonderfully transparent sonics, but ease of use and amazingly light DSP usage. It was a great way for me to make changes to my mix in a hugely meaningful, but still keep all the color and vibe of the original recording."

"The FabFilter Pro-Q 2 is simply the best sounding transparent EQ, with a killer interface, I've come across. Especially with natural phase mode... I'm able to make strong changes, even hard filtering, and not hear unpleasant phase shifts in signal."

"The FabFilter Pro-L is the same for the 2 bus side of things. Even with a more aggressive setting to become competitive in the loudness world, I don't hear transients disappear, or the overall breath and dynamics of the full mix fall apart, even at the heavier settings. That 4x oversampling is really great to for avoiding peaky overs when creating a final print! "
