Simon Climie

Multiple Grammy Award-winning writer/artist/produce/mixer Simon Climie says: "I've always been moved by great music but equally fascinated by technology. So I guess it's no surprise that all the songs I've written since George and Aretha’s "I Knew You Were Waiting for me" I’ve always had state of the art technology inspiring me and helping me create fresh sounds.

"I love vintage mics and outboard, but now with 32-bit 96kHz and up, the plug-ins can shape music like never before. I have very eclectic taste in Music, so whether I'm in Scandinavia with genius programmers or recording stunning legends from Eric Clapton & BB King to John Maher, I strive to make sure the quality of the sound matches the depth of the music and the talent..."

Simon Climie and FabFilter

"Some of my very talented co-writers have shown FabFilter plug-ins, in all genres of music... but most recently I mixed in 5.1 surround for all formats Eric Clapton's from the Royal Albert Hall. Over the years I've worked with so many talented engineers and producers and we all respect each others opinion. On this project we were fortunate to have 'King of Mastering' Bob Ludwig. We don't give away trade secrets... but Bob spoke very highly of the FabFilter plug-ins, too ... So I checked them out and also the great online video's... and I love them!"
