Michael Graves

Michael Graves is a multiple Grammy-Award winning mastering engineer. During his career, Graves has worked with clients worldwide and has gained a reputation as one of the leading audio restoration and re-mastering specialists working today, earning 4 Grammy Awards and 14 nominations.

While working on historical re-issue projects with record labels like Omnivore Recordings, Dust-to-Digital, BMG, Analog Africa, Craft Recordings and Numero Group, Graves has helped shape the sound of a diverse group of artists including Vince Guaraldi, Aretha Franklin, Hank Williams, Blondie, Nina Simone, Erroll Garner, Ray Charles, Art Pepper, Janis Joplin and Buck Owens. Graves owns and operates Osiris Studio, a Los Angeles-based mastering and audio-restoration services facility that provides audio services to the entertainment and archival communities.

"I started using FabFilter around 2012 with Pro-Q. I loved the transparency, interface, flexibility and ease of use. I do a lot of restoration work and the ability to quickly dial in a surgical cut or boost is critical to me. Soon after Pro-Q I added Pro-L, Pro-C, Pro-MB, Pro-G, Pro-DS and Pro-R. Almost all of them get used every day on every project I work on here at Osiris Studio. I can’t imagine working without these tools."
