BINKBEATS

BINKBEATS (real name Frank Wienk) was educated as a classical percussionist. After playing for and touring with many bands and groups, he started working solo as BINKBEATS in 2013.

What started with his 'Beats Unraveled' series, covering electronic music artists like Flying Lotus and Aphex Twin, playing their songs from scratch with acoustic instruments, resulted in his own music releases in 2018/19; P.M.P.U. Pt.1,2 and 3.

In 2024 he released his album/ live performance OHM which included a 360 sound installation.

Besides his own music he produces and composes for other artists, theater, dance and film.

Fabfilter has been among my main set of tools now for more than a decade.

Pro-Q4 is my go to equalizer. With the dynamic and spectral functions added I’ve got everything I need for shaping sounds.

Pro-C3 has great coloring possibilities, Saturn 2 for all kinds of distortion.

I love how advanced the possibilities become when using the modulation options.
