Stefan Boman

Stefan Boman started out in 1995 working at the world famous Polar Studios, built by the band ABBA. He quickly moved on to become the main in-house engineer of Studio A, working with bands like Def Leppard, Burt Bacharach, Alice Cooper, Chic, Kent, The Hellacopters, Backstreet Boys, Freddie Wadling and Sahara Hotnights, to name a few.

Staying on as in-house engineer at Polar between 1995–2001, he then moved on to freelance work at many different studios around Europe. Looking for a base to work from and a place to keep all the collected gear, he joined forces with Swedish band Kent to buy Park Studio in Stockholm in 2004. Park Studio started in the 70s and has been the place for many classic hits over the decades.

Besides the many Kent albums made at Park Studios, other projects include Salem Al Fakir, Hellacopters, Erik Hassle, Camera Obscura, 69 Eyes, Hives, The Solution, Backyard Babies and Graveyard. The current mix room is now located at the legendary Atlantis Studios in Stockholm, featuring fantastic vintage outboard gear and the famous echo chamber of the original ABBA studio.

Now with more than 30 years of mixing experience, more recent clients include Opeth, Roxette, The Cardigans, Avicii, Ghost and Kent. Stefan is a certified in Dolby Atmos and an approved mixer for Universal Music Group.

Stefan Boman and FabFilter

"The Pro-Q 4 is an absolute stellar tool for corrective EQ as well as for tone shaping and the new Spectral dynamics added an extremely valuable layer of usability. Truly a dessert island type of plugin choice!"

"I haven’t done one single mix in the last 10-15 years where I haven’t used a FabFilter plug-in and they are the golden standard."
