Jarett Holmes

Jarett Holmes is a songwriter, producer and engineer living and working in Los Angeles, California. In the short time he has been working professionally, he has engineered platinum and gold singles (Shut Up and Dance/Walk The Moon & Sleeping With A Friend/Neon Trees).

"I grew up as a Canadian expat in Saudi Arabia, listening to punk rock and playing guitar. I committed myself to getting good at making records because I wanted to help my favorite artists make incredible sounding music. Some of the artists I've been lucky enough to work with in the last two years I've been in LA include: Neon Trees, Walk The Moon, New Politics, Matthew Koma, Afrojack, Smallpools, Hedley & Bear Mountain. I'm excited about the future of music."

Jarett Holmes and FabFilter

"I learned about FabFilter from one of the assistants, who brought it in and made me use it. I couldn't believe FabFilter Pro-Q 2. I recommend it to everyone, adamantly, and constantly. It is a super clean and transparent EQ, and the GUI is so futuristic I can't imagine working without it. I know my frequencies well, but since using the Pro-Q, with it's built in frequency analyzer, I can now pinpoint troublesome areas with lightening speed and ease. This is a must have in every engineer's toolkit."
